Avon council voted to place two levies on the November ballot. A 2 mill renewal for streets and maintenance would raise about $90,000 yearly for five years, and a 0.7 mill five year levy for capital improvements and resurfacing would raise about $39,000 yearly. The present 2 mill levy expires Dec 31. Also notes on Gargaro honors, new library CD collection, steak roast, school board meeting, and back-to-school items.
