New London Hospital to Become Senior Center

Ronald Gibson, a 32 year old California resident and Oberlin College Conservatory graduate, bought the defunct New London Hospital from National City Bank for an undisclosed price. He plans to reopen next May as the New London Senior Center, a residential social facility for elderly needing limited care, with 16 rooms and a shared dining area. The hospital, once owned by Dr. Leonard Faymore, closed in May 1983 after HCFA refused Medicare recertification. Faymore is serving a 40 year prison term for drug crimes.
