Fair's tractor pull goes early as mud traps crowd
At the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington, mud from weekend rains stranded cars as fair officials and volunteers pulled vehicles free with tractors and nylon ropes. Attendees offered help, some charging for pulls, while others assisted for free. Five 25-ton stone loads were laid to stabilize the lot and 16 500 attendees plus 5 000 seniors attended the 125th birthday circus day. Two electrical shocks were reported but non fatal.
