Buckeye Schools Crammed as 30-40 More Students Enroll
Buckeye district faces overcrowding with 30 to 40 additional students this fall. Superintendent Lloyd Naragon says the district has been interviewing architects to plan a new high school and would convert the present high school into a junior high. This move would release space by moving about 350 seventh and eighth graders from the York Building, freeing classrooms for elementary use. The board clerk notes staff may work in hallways or the bus garage under current conditions.
