Hoehn to attempt second nine mile Lake Erie swim
Barbara J. Hoehn a 22 year old lifeguard and swimming instructor from North Olmsted will attempt a nine mile Lake Erie swim on Sunday. She trained from four to seven miles daily at Regency Swim and Racquet Club and expects warmer water. Her crew includes her father and a second boat partner as the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and near 80 degrees.

Belafonte wowed Lorain County at 10th anniversary event
The Chronicle-Telegram sponsored Lorain County Night drew 816 fans to Front Row last night. Harry Belafonte praised local fans and noted strong regional turnout. GNP signals milder recession with lower Q2 decline
Washington reports the economy fell 2.4 percent at an annual rate in April-June, revised from 3.3 percent. After tax business profits dropped 2.4 percent to 138.6 billion while pre tax profits fell 2.7 percent to 226.9 billion.
