National Rain will diminish in the Northeast and begin today in the Western Plains. Cloudy conditions with a chance of showers tonight and Tuesday, plus possible thunderstorms tonight and Tuesday morning. Lows tonight 55 to 60, highs Tuesday 70s, precipitation chances 40 percent tonight and 30 percent Tuesday. Winds south to southwest at 10 to 15 mph tonight.
The forecast shows winds turning to the west at 15 to 25 knots tonight with a chance of showers or thunderstorms. Waves building to five feet expected tonight offshore, with small craft advisory conditions possible.
A National Weather Service briefing notes a cool spell with showers Wednesday through Friday, highs in the 70s and nightly readings in the 40s to 50s. Thundershowers affect the West and Central Rockies, with widespread rain aiding firefighters in northern states. No severe weather reported.
The Ohio Controlling Board approved a 357 732 contract between the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission and the Lorain County 169 Board for specialized rehabilitation services. The July 18 approval, announced by State Rep John Bara, funds work evaluation, work adjustment and job readiness placement for severely mentally or physically disabled individuals. The Lorain 169 board is the only one in the state to receive such a contract.
