Runaway diabetic teen to be returned to Columbus authorities
A unidentified woman who aided 16 year old Deborah Van Horn on a bus to Detroit tipped police. Deborah, from Louisa Kentucky, ran away with sisters Laura 15 and Vicki Lynn 14. She will be returned to Columbus juvenile authorities on Friday and her parents will pick her up Saturday. Deborah has treated diabetes with insulin and IV feeding after authorities say a woman gave her medicine to keep her health strong while on the run. Deborah escaped a hospital stay last Friday and this marks her third flight from Kentucky this year. The Van Horn family has eight daughters and three sons.
