Two Plans For Caring For Vets in Congress Push
The Veterans of Foreign Wars proposes two remedies for disabled ex servicemen. They call for eliminating the service connection clause in Veterans Bureau rules and ad opting a world war service pension for all disabled veterans to provide steady support and address inequality among those with similar injuries. The plan, backed by National Commander Eugene P. Carver Jr., would set pensions from 20 to 500 dollars based on disability, aiding veterans who cannot sustain full employment.
