Two Elyrians were treated at Elyria Memorial Hospital for injuries from a late evening automobile crash at the intersection of Routes 57 and 10. Edgar Fletcher, 34, suffered a bruised knee and shock. his wife Nell, 20, had a bruised shoulder while Fletcher’s car collided with a vehicle driven by C. E. Meyers of Erhart, who was uninjured. Deputy Sheriff Paonessa said Meyers’ car overturned after Fletcher tried to turn left onto Route 57. A second, separate accident near Routes 9 and 68 left George O’Brien, 27, of Cleveland uninjured when his car left the road and struck a power pole while attempting to avoid another car driven by Oliver Rowland of Buffalo.
