A crowd of about 590 from Farm Bureaus Granges and 4-H Clubs attended the Lorain County Farmers Picnic at Linwood Beach Park. Events included sports, a style revue with 34 contestants, and awards to local clubs. First Break In Cincinnati Strike Ends For Three Firms
Cincinnati August 6 the first break in the five day old strike of long distance truck drivers came as three large operators resumed work under a compromise contract with the union. Keeshin Motor Express Silver Fleet and Cleveland Columbus and Cinelanst Lines signed. Seventy five other firms said they could not meet union demands. The signed agreements provide for 75 cents an hour for long distance drivers eight cents less than originally asked per Local 146 Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union and AFL officials.

A friend in Cleveland said Caldwell sent money orders to pay bills and that they will return to Cleveland in two weeks. Missing Jurist Alive in 1935, Camp Claim Surfaces
Royce E. Martin, a 34 year old miner and former labor superintendent, testified in Miami Arizona that he saw Supreme Court Justice Joseph Force Crater alive in Nogales in spring 1935.
