The village invites the community to join the annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. No permit needed for residents. Maps are on the village website and Facebook page South Amherst Village Garage Sale. For details contact coordinator Dave Leshinski at 440 986 6640.
Public library readings and sessions offer Fiona the therapy dog for 15 minute reading practice. Summer events include Walkin on Wednesday performances, DIY music, disaster prep, Pinkalicious party, and a Vermilion calendar sale. YMCA camps, auctions, and youth sports registrations also featured with contact numbers for details.
A variety of local events are planned including a YMCA bridge fundraiser with seat costs ranging from 20 to 60 dollars and a August 25 deadline for registration. The Amherst Historical Society hosts a German Fest 2 to 10 pm with 5 dollar adult entry at Sandstone Village.
