Lorain teens benefit from federal job skills program
Five youths work for Lorain's Building Housing and Planning and three for Public Property as part of a federally funded summer program. They gain wage work, data entry, and park maintenance while helping full time staff with city projects, with pay up to eight ninety five an hour. The program runs May 1 to Oct 31 and serves youths aged 14 to 24 under TANF financed by federal and state agencies.
