Goodwill proposes to operate two idled Lorain Transit vans
Goodwill Industries of Lorain County proposes running two idled Lorain County Transit vans to provide expanded services after early cuts. President Robert Rees notes the July 28 proposal is preliminary and feasibility must be evaluated. If approved, the program named Good Wheels powered by Goodwill would serve medical appointments, senior centers, temporary jobs, and errands beyond current Dial-A-Ride, with a 90 day start and at least six months of operation.

Stevan Dohanos, a prominent mid century American artist and illustrator, will be namesake of the former Lincoln Middle School. Born in Lorain in 1907, he created over 125 Saturday Evening Post covers and produced World War II posters among other works.
