Duplex transformation yields roomy Houston town house
In Houston, Edgar and Ynez Smuthy converted a two story brick duplex into a spacious urban town house with four plus bedrooms and two living rooms, upstairs and downstairs, each with a fireplace. The four month renovation added a utility room and a large upstairs bathroom, while preserving the structure. The home showcases an art filled downstairs parlor and a muted upstairs living area with a second story deck and skylight.
