Twenty one communities including four in Lorain County will receive about 2.6 million dollars from Ohio Edison. Local officials estimate refunds totaling about 871 thousand dollars will be shared among Graf ton Amherst Wellington Oberlin Milan Monroeville and Wadsworth after a 35.9 percent wholesale rate hike was protested. The dispute centered on rate increases Ohio Edison filed with FERC in August 1977 and ongoing hearings.
LAS VEGAS AP reports Tatie Fields died today at Sunrise Hospital at age 48 after long illnesses. She was pronounced dead on arrival by private ambulance.
