Regional Bank Gains Amid Shifts in Industrial Output

Abnormal increases occurred in June before new federal taxes, especially in tire and oil, with slackening since. Shoe production rose, auto output fell less than typical May declines, and iron and steel remained very weak. Agricultural crops suffered in June due to dry weather but late crops improved after rains. Farm sentiment rose as farm product prices climbed, with livestock and hog prices near yearly highs.
