The Ohio Department of Highways told the Chronicle-Telegram that 60 percent of labor on routes 2 and 20 in Lorain County will be hired through the county unemployment relief committee at a minimum wage of 40 cents per hour. June 15, 1933 is set for finishing 6.71 miles of U.S. route 20 from Elyria to the Cuyahoga line, with Hill and Hill Co. winning the bid at 112,185.59 dollars for grading, structures and brick pavement. A second contract to Hill and Hill for 1.753 miles of state route 2 calls for 90,184.98 dollars for grading, structures, concrete pavement and a Beaver Creek bridge, with June 15, 1933 for paving completion and December 15, 1932 for bridge completion.

The group expects 500 attendees at the second annual banquet in Fremont in October, with Governor George White and Governor candidate David Ingalls slated to speak. Frank L.
