The first degree murder trial of Linda Epperson Head 33 in Des Arc Arkansas was postponed to Monday due to the illness of Circuit Judge W J Waggoner. Her husband James Walter Head also faces trial on the same charge and is at Arkansas State Hospital for Mental disorders. They are accused of killing 5 year old Mary Wolfe by placing her in a rain barrel after a Christmas Eve beating. Mary was the daughter of Everett Wolfe of Elyria Ohio who had entrusted the child to the Heads before they left Elyria.

William Newland 38 of New Castle Pennsylvania is charged with manslaughter after a truck collision on Route 18 west of Wellington that killed Mr and Mrs Walter Bring of Wellington. Newland bound over to the grand jury with $5000 bond on two counts and $100 bond on three traffic offenses. trial scheduled for May 21. The Bring couple died from skull fractures. Newland was held at Lorain Municipal jail after initial confinement in Wellington.

Missing Antioch student recovered from Indian Lake
The body of 19 year old David Frankel of Harrisburg Pennsylvania was found floating 120 yards from the overturned canoe at Indian Lake. Authorities continued the search for 19 year old William Kruercer Jr. of Tomah Wisconsin using grappling hooks.

Boiler explodes at Midget Grill injuring two in Elyria
A boiler explosion at the Midget Grill on Elyria Avenue near Lorain at 11 20 p m yesterday injured two people and damaged the building and contents. Helen McClain 206 East 30th Street received an arm injury and leg abrasion while Laevenia Jackson same address had a forehead cut and ankle injury. Both were treated at St Joseph Hospital and released. Owner Dolores Shedd 3611 Lowell Street Lorain blamed the oil furnace boiler explosion. The west side of the building suffered the most damage and a car along the wall was damaged by falling bricks.

Employee Hurt In Fall From City Truck

He fell from a moving truck on Ford road after a door opened, suffering cuts near his ear and a neck fracture suspicion later ruled out at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Police were notified around 1 PM.
