Hollywood Gossip and Screen News Bountifully Mixed
An uneven mix of entertainment items reports Barbara Read’s split from RKO and Judy Garland’s college plans, Orson Welles’ radio deal, Groucho Marx and Arthur Murray broadcasts, Judy Garland’s poetry book nom de plume, Gale Patrick and Marian Martin, and a wild yarn about Rita Hayworth’s near drowning. The column blends star gossip, contract chatter, and studio maneuvers with light social quips.
