Medina O April 29 The Chatham field in Medina county revived after a year of experimentation with a re pressure method approved by the legislature The field now has nearly 100 farms under lease to drilling companies A 72 acre Ripley farm lease yields about 250 barrels daily and a first half April royalty of 381 The revival sparks a small boom around Chatham and Lodi with about 250 workers and three large storage tanks built Local oilmen expect profitable production for 10 to 15 years under the method and some tracts command high lease prices up to 325000The field’s re pressure scheme uses four corner wells and a center producer to create pressure from water injected into the corner wells

Will Take Bids On Proposed Water Line Extension

Car Hits Flasher Injuring Three at Wellington Crossing
Charles Nicholas of Akron drove a car into the concrete base of a flasher signal at the North Main street crossing of the New York Central railroad in Wellington at 10 30 p m yesterday. The car was badly smashed. Nicholas and his wife were thrown out. He was knocked unconscious but not badly hurt. His wife suffered a broken right arm, scratches and bruises and a gash on her forehead. Their son Robert had a deep gash on his chin. Mrs. Nichol3 confined at Falls Clinic in Wellington. Husband and son discharged after treatment.
