Amherst weighs moves to lift sewer hook-up ban
Amherst officials meet with Columbus attorney Timo Nagy to evaluate data and strategy on challenging an Ohio EPA ban on new sewer connections. A stay may be sought while the Environmental Board of Review review proceeds with pre hearing May 21 and full hearing July 14 in Columbus. The EPA ban, issued March 27, blocks new connections until upgrades are funded and planned.

LCCC faces rebirth plans as trustees hear sports protest

CROP Hunger Walk Set in Oberlin
The annual CROP Hunger Walk in Oberlin will start with registration at 9 a m at Tappan Square and a 12 mile route looping back to First Church. Walkers should bring a bag lunch. 12 percent of proceeds go to Oberlin Emergency Food Shelf, with donations to The CROP Fund via Oberlin Savings Bank or First Church sponsorship.
