Robber Suspect Shot And Killed In Ohio
Edward Burkett, 38, of West Milton, was shot and killed early today as he tried to escape after allegedly breaking into Copp's Confectionery. Abidel Shilt, a store watchman, shot him after Burkett struck him with a bottle during an attempted phone call to the town marshal. The coroner ruled justifiable homicide. Burkett left seven children, ages from three weeks to 12 years. his wife had died three weeks ago.
