Fires damaged two Elyria residences yesterday afternoon with losses over 600 dollars. The larger blaze at 113 Rush Street, home of R H Scott, was blamed on a short circuit in an electric wiring in the basement. A second fire at 490 High Street, home of M S Witten, was caused by an overheated warm air furnace and ended in the living dining area. Fire crews from Hose Company One and Engine Three also responded.

Bowling Green Officer Dies From Wounds
