Partly cloudy conditions in the north shifting to mostly sunny in central and southern sections. Highs reach the 50s to low 60s with clearing tonight and lows in the 30s. Sunny on Monday with highs in the 60s.
Southwest winds 15 to 25 knots today with seas 2 to 5 feet. Scattered showers and thunderstorms reduce visibility briefly to less than 2 miles in precipitation.
Fair and cool conditions prevail with lows in the 30s Tuesday and Wednesday and upper 30s to mid 40s Thursday. Daytime highs reach the 50s Tuesday and Wednesday and the upper 50s to mid 60s Thursday.
Widespread Easter weekend floods force hundreds from homes across Illinois Missouri Mississippi Georgia Alabama. National Guard deployed in Alabama counties. Pearl River area near Jackson sees 100 plus evacuees. Mississippi River breaches levees near Machens West Alton Missouri and Pin Oak near Winfield. Detroit Edison crews restore power after ice storm impact. Snow in northern Rockies and Plains worsens travel.
