Police report a springtime rise in teen runaways, many aged 14 to 17, driven by abuse and home pressures. Elyria officers Szaley and Koreski note weather and school ending fuel the trend, with 140 teens located last year, 87 girls and 53 boys.
Elyria police say a stray shot fired by Guy Williams 22 may be linked to the death of Johanna Overall 20 found with a single gunshot wound in her bedroom. Lacey 35 reported hearing name and Williams pointing a gun. Williams faces felonious assault charges.

Airborne executives say the deal could fuel growth and benefit the community.
