Faymore faces back taxes and court battle over MEZ property

Faymore, after 10 years in federal prison and parole in 1992, claims delinquent taxes since 1983 when MEZ took over the property. Janas rules Faymore must pay back taxes to the state to retain the property, with the sheriff’s sale canceled only if resolved. County officials note sale price is far below MEZ’s 1983 $900,000 purchase, a 1992 fire damaged the cinder block structure, and legends of buried treasure are dismissed as myths. Faymore previously ran Doctor's Clinic offering 24 hour prescriptions nearby.
