Invacare eyes options while pledging Elyria ties

Invacare president Malachi Mixon III says the maker of wheelchairs is committed to the area but warns it is not certain to stay in Elyria. The firm has grown from 300 to over 2,000 employees since 1980, with 1,200 to 1,500 in Elyria, and is weighing expansion sites in North Ridgeville and nearby cities while seeking favorable tax incentives to stay profitable amid rivals. Grand Jury hears Green Acres evidence
