Mrs. Laura Armitage a Canton piano teacher and head of the Armitage Piano School died in Aust man Hospital from a Saturday heart attack. She taught in Canton since 1910 with a staff of 10 and 7 pianos in her High avenue studio. She played organ at First Congregational Church and trained hundreds of pupils, many becoming teachers or preparing for concert careers. Her son Cecil and daughter Mrs Kenneth Frease were among her staff.
