Akron AP says Cleveland photographer Ralph Schneider won the Sylvanus P. Germain trophy, after a 4 and 3 victory over East Liverpool's Tom Cloran at Breathnach Country Club. Schneider becomes the second Clevelander in 20 years to claim the title, following Tom Radican. Cloran, OSU varsity alum now unemployed, reached the final by beating Paul Tulga 3 and 1.
