Three Injured In Mishap at High, 3rd SW

Seven people were injured in city and county traffic crashes on Friday. At 3rd Street and High Avenue SW a two car collision left John Stang 73 of Middlebranch Road NE with knee scratches and Blanch Rankin 41 of RD 8 Akron with a sprained arm and knee scrapes. Rankin's daughter Sandra 7 suffered eye cuts and bruises. James and Olive Lancaster 52 and 55 of Bellaire were treated for chest bruises and possible back fracture after a rear end crash on Cleveland Ave SW. Lena Dehnke 77 of 812 East NW sustained a possible pelvis fracture after being struck on 8th Street and Cleveland Ave NW. Police continue the investigation.

Superior Steel Plant Shutdown Near Louisville

Borg-Warner says the Superior Sheet Steel Division plant near Louisville will halt all operations by next week.
