Death by Drowning Triggers Probe in Tuscarawas
Newcomerstown Ohio July 7 Special Tuscarawas County Sheriff Paul Pancher and Coroner John F Lake asked Prosecutor Vernon Lee to hold an inquest today into the drowning death of Howard Wesley Albright last Friday in the Tuscarawas River two miles south of Newcomerstown. An attack by a group of locals over a newspaper letter criticizing the sheriff and coroner prompted the probe. The coroner said the body was removed from the river before he arrived and cited Ohio law requiring notification to the coroner in cases of violent or suspicious deaths.
