Alma plans extensive street resurfacing this summer along Michigan Avenue using gravel or asphalt yet to be decided with about eight thousand dollars budgeted. Four thousand or so will be city funded with the rest from abutting property owners. The Ways and Means Committee submitted a budget and funding recommendations for the General Fund and other city accounts, including Water, Contingent and Cemetery funds, to the council. The report notes possible reconstruction with concrete or similar material, pending decision by spring, and outlines the tax-supported and property-based funding split.
