Alma business men push tea advertisements to readers

Local merchants distribute hundreds of extra tea copies this week to show their advertisements and invite subscriptions. A one dollar ad payment is requested from each subscriber, and the Record will mail to the reader’s address through January.

The Creamery Pride and Growth at Alina Facility

The Creamery, established in July 1886, expanded from 1200 to 1800 pounds of butter daily. It serves 750 patrons with nine collectors handling deliveries across Gratint Ixntodle Midland Montewhn and Sagi naw counties. The daily cream is tested for purity, using advanced Russian separators and a churn capable of four pounds per batch. Manager Mr. George Hutchinson brings nearly 25 years in the business.

College reception and activities at the Ladies Hall

John Wat of Brockourridge attended the reception last Friday. John B. Stevens presented a valuable ore collection to the college. The football teams schedule a campus match on the upcoming afternoon. Stevens named secretary of the Athletic Association after Newton resignation. The Ladies Hall noon engagements filled before the opera. President Brooke spoke at St. Tendo and Mackinaw City. Herbert Scott, a city senior, engaged in ex football. Boys practice daily. Ladies of the advisory board funded dormitory changes and furnishings. Athletic Association meeting chose managers and Northen appointed defense head. Over 50 attendees welcomed visitors and speakers including Neethon, Scott, Plan, and Dr. Bre. J. T. Newthon spoke on YMCA work and college athletics. A translated sketch of Apostle Paul, by Abraham J. VanPage, was praised. A publisher plan for the translation proceeds. Advertisement items for Bucklin’s Arnica Salve, Dr. King’s New Discovery for coughs, and Electric Bitters.
