Local Alma businessmen distribute hundreds of extra Book copies to promote advertising and solicit trade. Readers may subscribe by leaving 1.00 with a business merchant for sixteen months, with the Record mailed to their address until a stated date. Some wording is unclear but the offer aims to boost local commerce.
Michigan Conference of the M B voted to hold its next gathering in this village. A church extension society donation of 1000 pounds funds construction. Plans revised to a slightly larger design with lighting and other updates. Rail board magnates visit Alma to inspect terminals for a new line. Multiple appointments announced for the Lansing district as the M B conference convenes in Albion.
A social event hosted by the Christing Fie denver society honored Christian ree ta Hotes of the college at Mr and Mrs W C Clark's home Friday. Guests included Marion Grader Wind Mise Kalmt Porton who attended to duties while gifts and decorations impressed attendees. The gathering aimed to welcome the guests and celebrate with a modest dinner and tea.
A business group in Alma convened at the Wright House to consider inviting the Oviatt Wagon Company of Lansing to build a wagon factory locally.
