Local business men plan to issue several hundred extra Record copies this week to showcase advertisements and solicit trade. Subscribers may read ads by sending Louvre and related notices, with a promotion running through January 7, 187? in hopes of widening circulation.
The Alma Roller Mills, established in the East and now western Michigan’s leading grain facility, operates at 150 barrels daily with plans expanding to 40 hours and 40 by 80 feet. It features multiple floors of machinery, large grain bins, dust collectors, and a capacity for 5 000 bushels of flour storage, emphasizing farmer trade and favorable corn and wheat pricing.
