Henry H. Soule, a leading Alma contractor and business figure, was killed instantly in an auto accident near Merrill while returning from Saginaw. He had built many Alma factories and homes, led Twin Cities Realty, chaired the Bellstrom Four-Drive Truck project, and served as First State Bank director. He was active in the Presbyterian church and community affairs, leaving widow Sadie Messinger, aged mother Mrs. Sarah Soule, and sister Laura Baxor Soule.

Mrs Milligan of Breckenridge sustained minor injuries Friday evening when a buggy she drove with two companions was struck on Michigan Avenue by a car driven by Chester Benedict. Benedict kept the accident from worsening by driving slowly. his dim lights and being slightly on the left side of the road obscured the oncoming rig. The buggy and auto sustained damage but only minor injuries occurred to occupants.
