Vinnie Booth and Rev Wade Frost wed at the Booth home on Euclid Avenue last Saturday with about twenty guests. The ceremony, led by Rev J W Priest, featured a simple ring service as Miss Eleanor Bittner served as bridesmaid and Mr Albert Esselstyn as best man. The bride wore white and carried roses, with Mary Sharp playing the wedding march. The couple departed for Carson City, then Chicago for Frost to begin a three year seminary program at McCormick. Both are Alma graduates and plan a long, happy life together.

A wedding was held Tuesday morning at 6 45 at the Episcopal church as Miss Alma Lillian Vought and Mr Peter Trieweiller of Portland Michigan united in marriage. Rev J Frank Jackson officiated with Miss Ella Bittner at the organ and Miss Laura Crandell and Sam Matthews as attendants. The ring service was used and Wilma Demuth sang A Perfect Day. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Dewitt Vought, is a graduate of Alma High and Ypsilanti Normal and taught music and drawing in Williamston and Portland. The groom works as a money order clerk in the Portland post office. After the ceremony they traveled to Detroit Buffalo and Niagara Falls and will reside in Portland.

The departure of Mr. T A Pannell troubled music lovers at the college and city. The college hires Hugh C Dickerson of Chicago, a bass baritone with a Bachelor of Music from the American Conservatory. After five years of prep work in Houghton Kansas, he studied in Chicago and will teach theoretical music and assist voice culture and piano. He has composed several pieces and was a soloist at First Presbyterian Church in Chicago. He will lead one of the city church choirs.

The Church of God will start tent meetings near the Graham schoolhouse south of Elwell on September 12 for ten days. Wm J McNutt of Carson City and A C Haner of Summer City handle details. John Conley died at his Wright avenue home September 6 after a long illness. Elder Kester of St Louis led the funeral at the Town Line F M church. Conley, born in Kentucky in 1851, was the son of Anthony and Katherine Conley. He married Rebecca Freeze in 1871 and moved to Michigan four years later, bearing three children. His wife died four years later, and he remarried Mira Emily Gallagher, producing two more children. He was converted in 1874 and lived uprightly. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss.

Leases New Store Building For Candy Shop Move
E A Smith has leased the building now occupied by A Hunter the tin smith and will move his candy store to the new location. The current lease expires in over two years but a rapid business growth forced the change. Hunter plans to lease the south half of the building once used by Nelson Bros and will handle plumbing and tinsmithing.
