The Alma High School Debating Club reorganized last Wednesday with Supt Elleworth present. Officers elected include President Dudley Tinker Vice-president Blaine Hayes Secretary and Treasurer Edward Tims Critic Supt Ellsworth and Sergeant-at-Arms Channing Parsons. The group, now twelve members, aims to be the best in the state.

Engineer Killed In Ann Arbor Freight Collision
Two southbound freight trains on the Ann Arbor railroad collided on a sharp curve near Shepherd Saturday morning four o'clock. Engineer Edward Miller of Owosso was instantly killed and his fireman Albert Sehebler badly bruised. The wreck blocked the right of way and passengers were moved at the scene all day. Possible causes cited include Miller asleep or no flagman back to warn the approaching train. Miller leaves a wife and one daughter.
