Alma man John Innes found dead in his home
John Innes longtime Alma resident and member of the Alma Building and Loan Association was found dead in his rooms last Saturday morning October. He was known as a human encyclopedia on Alma history and had worked recently at the Michigan Sugar plant. Funeral services were held Monday at the residence of C. Walthers. Other obituaries note J. N. Cowdry and William Beasley, and a series of local events includes Alma College football schedule and a Central Michigan Round Table meeting. Open New Pool Room in Caple Building by Local Residents
On November 1 a new pool and billiard hall opens on the Caple building’s second floor, operated by Luchini and Rudick residents of the city. Four pocket tables and one billiard table are installed with six large dome lights and a dairy lunch will be offered.
