Alma area surpasses quota in county loan drive
Gratiot County completes a two day push that drives the Seventh Federal Reserve district fourth liberty loan effort past the quota with Alma leading the county. Alma's subscriptions exceed its $126,024 goal, with bank totals reaching about $409,000 and most likely three times the quota within the city. Other top performers include Ithaca St Louis and parts of Wheelers and Elim townships with Ashley and Bannister near the target.
