Alma residents learn of Redman’s expanding wholesale grocery operation now moving large volumes. In September he handled salt cip sugar and peaches totaling about 17000 dollars for the month. Plans include a new farm produce warehouse and store room on Superior Street east of Gratiot County Gas Company property. He employs two traveling salesmen. OBITUARY James B. Tubbs Dies at 76 in Alma. born Ontario County New York June 6 1840. He served in the Civil War and later ran a meat market here. He is survived by a widow two children a sister and eight grandchildren. Funeral held October 9.

Walter M. Mosher, longtime Alma resident, was found dead in his chair by his wife in Saranac on October 1. He ran a general store for EB 1 Collar of Tonia. He leaves a widow, one daughter, a mother, and one son. Funeral held at Alma home of Harry Walet, burial in Riverside cemetery, with Rev. J. W. Priest officiating.
