Railroad Commissioner Atwood released a revised Michigan railway map detailing routes and statistics since the 3 year prior edition. Rail mileage rose 780 miles to 9146, electrics up 224 miles to 819, total 10000, 35 short of full. Sugar Factory Shutdown Amid Rain Fails Haulage

The Tuscola County Advertiser reports sustained rains halted beet hauling across the county, leaving 2,000 tons in sheds and forcing the sugar plant shutdown likely by Saturday evening. Campaign output neared 45,000 tons by midweek, with about 1,000 more expected after the halt. Chas Wilkin of Vestaburg returned home Tuesday after a few days at Brainerd hospital. J W Robinson spent Tuesday in Vestaburg. Mrs Wim Houser of Emerson township underwent an appendicitis operation at Brainerd hospital Monday. Mrs Houser is reported doing nicely.
