Gratiot County Ministerial Association Formed
A group of county ministers met in the Guild room of the Episcopal church and formed the Gratiot County Ministerial Association. Rev. J Frank Jackson was elected president and Rev. T G R Brownlow secretary. Monthly meetings begin with the next on the second Monday in January at St Johns church. All evangelical ministers are invited to join. Pure lard at Brewer s priced 12 1 2 cents per pound.

City tax rates and valuations show state and school increases
The city’s assessed valuation is 2,147,375 dollars with a per thousand rate of 34.05 dollars, up from 32.32. State tax rises by 1.25, school tax by 0.68, while county tax falls 0.20 per thousand. Total school tax on rolls equals 27,000, added to one mill for a total of 29,232.27, with allocations to Peate tes Sebee coy and Arcada Fractional totaling 28,120.32 and 279,90 832.05 respectively.
Union Thanksgiving Day Service in Local Churches
Union Thanksgiving service held at the Methodist Church this morning at ten with scripture lesson, anthems, and audience prayers. Rev. Mason and Rev. Jackson led the program. collection supported the Children’s Home in St Joseph. Evening union prayer meeting at the Presbyterian church to follow with a Teachers’ Training class address on the New Birth.
