Seville Pioneer Dead Stephen French Dies on Farm near Riverdale
Stephen French longtime Riverdale area resident died at his farm four miles northeast Sunday November 16 in his 70s. He came from Canada over 45 years ago before Riverdale or railroads. He helped carry mail from Dunn school to Mt Pleasant. Survived by his wife a son Walter and a stepson and stepdaughter. Funeral Wednesday at 2:00 PM with interment at French Cemetery.

Insurance Firm Wins Fire Loss Verdict in Alma Case
The Pennsylvania Insurance Company won a verdict of 1209.75 against the Ann Arbor railway over the July 14 1911 Hick’s house fire on West Superior street Alma. The jury found the fire originated from sparks from engine 100 traveling north on the Ann Arbor road and many Alma residents testified.

Fatal gun accident strands eight year old in St. Louis
Kenneth Allen eight was killed instantly when his sixteen year old brother Verne unintentionally discharged a thirty two caliber revolver during play at their home on Lineoln avenue. The bullet entered the forehead and lodged in the neck. Funeral services are set for Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Christian church conducted by Rev. Meese.
