Memorial tribute to late Gratiot County lawyer and bar member

Geo P. Stone and Chas W. Giddings Inc. Watson Committee of the Gratiot County Bar Association note the death of a long serving attorney. They describe him as not a great lawyer but a capable advocate, with strong temper and impetuous nature. He balanced farming and business, especially a dairy operation near home, and engaged in Hub Manufacturing at Mt Pleasant as well as mining and irrigation projects in Oregon and Gratiot County. The adjudged loss brings sorrow to the bar, but they urge charity and remembrance of his good deeds.
