City Marshal Killed Crossing Street in Mt Pleasant
Mt Pleasant city marshal James Wilson was struck by a truck driven by merchant James Johnson Sunday night and died Tuesday. County Sunday School Convention at Alma Sets Record Attendance
The County Sunday School convention in Alma drew 126 delegates from 38 schools, the best attended in the association’s history. A telegram to the State Teachers' association urged Bible study in public schools, and over eighty dollars was raised for county and state work with a pledge of 125 dollars for next year. Officers and committee members were elected, Breckenridge hosts next year, and resolutions urged school use of buildings on Sundays, Sabbath observance, Bible reading in schools, parent involvement, and thanks to Alma and Prof. Veatch for hospitality and music.
