Burglars Loot Messinger Store on Saturday Night

Robbers forced entry through a raised back window of the Messinger & Co store and pried open a locked drawer in the safe. About 309 dollars in cash and checks plus papers and notes were stolen while Sunday morning deposits remained unspent. Rabid Dog Attack Injures Two Farmers Near Ferris Center

At midnight on Sunday May, J Grabaw and John F Thomas, farmers near Ferris Center, Montcalm county, were bitten on hands and arms by a dog believed rabid. The dog, owned by Mr Graham, acted oddly Friday, fled Saturday, and returned Sunday to threaten Graham and his daughter. Graham and Thomas fought the animal. both were bitten and driven to Brainerd Hospital for treatment, with Pasteur Laboratory in Ann Arbor consulted. No other people or animals are known to be affected.

Alma attorney Willem A Bablke filed a chancery bill in the circuh court against Shiawaswe Light and Power Company. The Union Telephone Company claims 200 plus instances of electric wires being placed on its poles, endangering public safety and damaging telephone property. Ten Inning Tie Marks Drawn Out Olivet Alma Battle

Olivet College and Alma played ten innings in a 9-9 tie amid a pitching duel led by Duncanson for Alma and Harlburt for Olivet.
