Mrs Evans died at home on Park Avenue after a brief illness described as a collapsed stomach. Born in New York state, August 4, 1841, she moved to Michigan with her husband William Thomas in 1870. Survived by three sisters, two brothers, and the husband, with a funeral conducted by Rev Hurt and Rev A J Fowcell. Members of the Ladies Aid Society Metie oltiet church attended.

Commissioner of Schools Pike has arranged for the County Eighth Grade graduates to receive diplomas at Alma College Chapel on Friday May 20 1908. Hon W A Babble will address the class and Hoo J W Holmes will present diplomas. Special music by Alta Schools.
