Mrs Mary Trott Found Dead In Alma Home
Mrs Mary J Trott was found dead Friday morning at her home corner Woodworth Avenue and Downie Street Alma. An inquest found death from natural causes with testimony from Dr M Brainerd and neighbor Mr Foster. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev H L Crain. Burial followed beside her husband William J Trott in Frankl in Oakland County. Mrs Trott born in Canada in 1641 moved to Michigan as a child and married James J Trott in 1866.

Episcopal Convention Opens in Monroe for Michigan Diocese Anniversary
The Michigan Protestant Episcopal church convention convened at Monroe at 10 am after services at Trinity Episcopal. Rev Charles Omera led the session with Bishop Williams of Detroit presiding. 75 clerics and 50 lay members attended. Williams spoke and stayed through Thursday night, marking the 75th anniversary of the first Michigan convention opened May 1884 by Bishop Ilvain of Cincinnati.

Wolf Netzorg long established Ithaca Gratiot County merchant, born in Russia, came to the United States at age 20. He worked with uncles in St Charles Saginaw County then moved to Ithaca in 1881 to open a general store with Nyman Yesner. He later bought out his partner and built a prosperous business and joined the Masons. He married Fannie Sodek in 1881 at St Charles.

Was Lucky Accident On Illinois Rail Line Near Clare
An Aon Arbor passenger train derailed briefly north of Clare when front tender trucks left the rails near the Doherty farm. The cars swung along the track for about 40 rods before stopping. No injuries occurred thanks to the track's safety. the embankment nearby could have caused a severe tragedy if the derailment extended.
