In a low turnout non partisan city primary under the commission system Joseph L. Biggerstaff led justice nominations with 11 votes, defeating D L Johnson and George H Carl while Francis E West exited early in the commissioner race. Frank Parker and Arthur E Davies topped the commissioner field as Philip W Creaser and Albert J Archer trailed. Mayor nominees Karl R Adams and Murp hy Murphy won with Adams carrying four precincts and Murphy two.

Garner Elias and Anderson led scoring with six and four field baskets respectively. Substitution kept Alma steady as lineups circulated and a first half 10 to 1 score reflected Alma's control.
